i know already the consensus is overwhelmingly in favor of the yellow and green....something inside me is telling me the oranje conquer 2moro...i have been in countless threads stating reasons...so i won't clutter up one more.....even though it's the one i start....elia or huntelaar off the bench is to me the wildcard of this match...all the regulars will do their part i am sure..i am aware of how great brazil is playing in this tourney to date...the oranje need to help back bigtime on defense and counter and possess the ball to make due.......taking holland at +330(local)..already on them at 15-1 to win the wc...if they win this match i will then start hedging even though i won't want to...but it is smart money at that point....fingers crossed in this one....it's now or never with this talent fer the dutch...cheers

I am on Holland large for the WC Winner as well, but i gotta tell you i am not in any way confident of getting this result our way--I am glad to take on board a little of your confidence....I hope its a similar result to when France beat them 1-0 last WC.

Don't worry your dream will come true today.
Dutch are the best team underachieved.
Brazil beat out Chile that is normal bc Chile didn 't have their best 2 defenders in the game. this is calling European teams vs South America teams for the best of the best.

Great call Sir!! That was a fantastic game.

I was watching the liveline on Pinnacle for most of the 1st half and there was a point when you could have had the dutch ML +2000. Now that would have been sweet!!!

Great call cocktails, and a wonderful victory for the Oranje here. Loved that they didn't panic after a less than stellar opening 45 and they found a way back through continued pressure and a little luck in the 2nd half. Didn't like the way they flopped about after getting the 2nd goal but the result was well-deserved...

was on the phone as they were coming out of the locker room to start the match and over heard the defensive switch at centerback...i dropped the phone!!!...sure as shit 10' in ooijer is drifting up field chasing kaka and the ball is slipped rite by him...thought we were in for a long one at that point....nerves prevailed....i agree about some of the flopping..it goes beyond this game though...for real, you would think after the wc is over everyone has a job waiting for them on broadway...i will call it both ways too...i hate danny alves and robinho(i am a man city guy)with passion...what joy to see them gone...but how that maniac van bommel didn't get thrown out of that game is beyond me...we now lose de jong fer the semi's..and i don't know how to feel?...him and the maniac have been so stable for the defense...will mathijsen be back for tuesday?...my thinking is he will and they will stick van der vaart back in the starting lineup...but if van marjwik had a dick at all, he would stick elia in on the wing and drop kuyt back...and i have officially had enuff of van pussy...stick huntelaar up front and bench van pussy...what a fuckin brat...we don't need two forwards who can only go left...let's face as world class as robben is, the whole world knows about his cut back off the wing to his left foot....all in all a classic day in dutch futbol.....hup holland hup....cheers

I think they get Uruguay next round, so it will be critical to be able to break down what has been a very solid backline. I like starting Elia as well, if you can get him and robben on the pitch cutting in they should be able to create a ton of space. Kuyt dropping back isnt a big deal because with his work-rate he will be able to get forward on occasion and constantly track back. He was one of the crucial pieces today, clearing corners and holding the ball up early in the 2nd half while Holland adjusted to their additional space that opened up. Liverpool fan here so his versatility is no news to me. I took a flier on Van Persie to win the golden boot so like you I've been disgusted with his lack of productivity and even more with his lack of gamesmanship.

After the USA went down I'm going Dutch. Have always enjoyed their style of play and when they have the proper pieces (Euro 08') they really put on a show. Think they have a cat and mouse game ahead of them next but it is an opportunity to be relished for sure.

agreed jim..would be a lil shicked if uruguay isn't next up..with some of ghana's injuries and tendency to play very back i would expect the dynamic duo up front to cause havoc on ghana's backline today...the chess match of how the ducth would defend v. uruguay is of interest to me...if van marjwik starts van der vaart in lieu of elia..then the team has a more offensive approach...we both know van der vaart is not the quickest of foot and he is a defensive liability..where as elia is done what is asked...and has the speed to back up his pace and possession up field so he can get back to defend if needed...really hope van marjwik can see the light at the end of the tunnel and not play seniority here...he keeps defending the ugly futbol instead of the 'total' futbol...well then back up yer words and drop van der vaart and van pussy!!!...i am going to celebrate now, and catch the game in a few hours at the pub.....cheers

nice call. your confidence and answers to my questions made me go big on the dutch at +375 to win and +.5 goals before i went to bed last night. when i woke up this am and saw pinnacle offering +340 i knew you were on the right side.

well the absence of van der wiel at right back and the absence of suarez(who saved his country anyway you look at it...couldn't get his head on it at that angle and took a risk that paid off fer his TEAM)seem to cancel each other now....still we miss de jong...uruguay gonna be one tired bunch tonite and 2moro...back with some thoughts as the game lingers on tues.

Nice call cocktail, I think Suarez is more valuable to his team than Van Der Wiel is for the Dutch. The other suspensions certainly won't help obviously.

I hope they start other strikers than RVP, he looks to be very frustrated and often takes matters into his own hands which does not help anyone at this level.

I am impressed with Uruguay in the sense that they never gave up and their defense has now conceded only 2 goals through 5 games. The extra-time may take a toll on them though.

Suarez has missed a lot of balls that should have gone in. Not saying he is a liability for the team, but i don't think it should be a big deal. I agree with you on the extra time. They dominated the second half and choked on the last mins of the game + all of extra time....
